The Xth Day of Christmas

Meme - Christmas Blog Posts

I had a brilliant idea for a series of blogs based upon the 12 days of Christmas.

Yeah, me and 18 million other bloggers, who had the exact same idea.

The idea is to do a series of blog posts, one a day, in the 12 days leading up to Christmas.

Well, obviously I missed the boat on that, since there are only 4 days left before Christmas (if you count today).  Plus, I know me very well and I am not likely to be able to write 12 blog posts on 12 consecutive days due to a genetic lack of stick-to-it-ive-ness.  (It’s a thing.  I have a note from my doctor.)

So, instead, I will present to you some random number of Christmas-related blog posts.

And rather than one a day, they will be posted at some random interval.

And let’s be honest: half the fun of Christmas is not knowing what we’re going to get.

So … brace yourself.   Christmas blog posts are coming.  Maybe.

  1. You could always just save them for next year. It seems obvious to me that with less than three days to go as I write this, you have none ready. With a whole year to write, you might get one finished by December 25, 2020.

Or maybe not. Aim for 2021 instead?

    • You were quite right, Lorne. I had nothing ready and ended up not posting anything. Oh well … hopefully I’ll be more prepared NEXT year (he said, for the 30th straight Christmas in a row.)

I hope you had a very merry Christmas!

    • Thanks for the great advice, Noel! And, given your name, I’m sure you are an expert in this time of year, so I will definitely defer to you in such matters.

I hope you had a very merry Christmas!

    • Thanks, Janet! But as you have no doubt discovered, my plans of doing any writing over the holidays amounted to so much sound and fury, signifying nothing. I meant well, though!

I hope you had a terrific Christmas!
