Poor Biff’s Almanac — It All Happened So Quickly

Poor Biff's Almanac Graphic (Colored) #1

I had big plans for today.  Some of those plans included writing something to post on here.

What is they say about the best laid plans?   I’m pretty sure it involved mice.  And some sort of gang.  A gang of mice, perhaps.

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly a day can get away from us.  Especially a Saturday.  One minute we are waking up, our heads stuffed to the rafters with great ideas and big plans and lots of enthusiasm (and a few allergies).  The next minute we are yawning, stretching, and turning out the light to go to bed.  We lay in bed thinking, “What the heck did I do today that made it pass by so quickly?”

But they are not things we remember, really.  A little vacuuming here.  A little clothes-folding there.  A quick bite for lunch.  A quick trip to the grocery store.  A stop to put gas in the car.  A telephone call or two.  A half an hour distracted by some show on TV.

And then … BOOM!  It’s 11:00 at night.

So, yes, I was going to write something to post on here … but … well … that plan certainly gang’d aglee!    So you’ll have to settle for this instead.

I was writing a nice little story to post earlier today.  I was trying to keep it short and pithy.  Next thing I knew, seven pages had rolled by.  Way too long to post on here.  And anyway, it wasn’t flowing naturally.  I was forcing it.  I hate having to force my writing.  I love it when it just flows naturally and organically out of my keyboard as if I’m merely someone taking dictation.   But that will have to wait for another day.

So, again, you’ll just have to settle for this.  The only thing organic about this post is its similarity to compost.
