Today’s breakfast menu is a three course meal of tasty morsels!
The Friday Shuffle
If you are reading this, then it must be Friday morning, for that is when I asked WordPress to publish it for me (if it would please be so kind). WP rolled her eyes and said, “Whatever!” Maybe it would; maybe it wouldn’t. Who can say? These things are notoriously unpredictable, much like life itself.
Speaking of life (and who wasn’t?), today is Friday, so it’s the perfect time to slough off the workweek’s shroud and to get ready to come to life again. Monday through Friday I just sort of shuffle along like a zombie in a Scooby-Doo cartoon, making the low, moaning sounds of someone just barely able to put one foot in front of the other.
That is, until those meddling kids rip off my mask and gasp and exclaim, “It was Biff all along!”
Of course it was! I don’t know why anyone would be surprised by that. My name is right there on the door to my office. Who else did they think was moaning and shuffling in here? After all, these papers are not going to shuffle themselves!
Good Flying Weather
It is early February here in Dallas (as it probably is throughout much of the world). And you know what that means! Yes, it means temperatures are up near 70 degrees (21 C). Hardly had the temperature popped up above about 60 when I noticed the first harbinger of spring: a fly buzzing around in the house.
Really? Now where did that thing come from? The temperature has only been above freezing for a few hours and suddenly there are flies and gnats. Can mosquitoes be far behind? May flies? June bugs? Is there an official bug of July? If so, I missed it.
But my point is, where did a fly come from this early in the year?
It flies in the face of logic.
It was my intent to write three distinct sections in this post. I thought it would be a nice three-course breakfast for you to start your day with.
But, frankly, I have run out of things to write about. Sure, I may have promised you eggs, bacon, and toast, but what you’re getting instead is cereal, milk, and a spoon. That is three things, so technically I have fulfilled my promise.
Be sure to give Biff’s Cafe a good review on Yelp!
